Brazil Conference

I had the incredible opportunity to contribute for the

"Brazil Conference" event as Set Deisgner and Event Producer.

Stage Design

I was commissioned by the Brazil Conference team to design a functional and aesthetically pleasing stage that aligned with their new branding and furniture suppliers already contracted for the event.

My key objective was to create a comfortable and versatile seating arrangement for the speakers, which led me to select lounge chairs for the stage.

These chairs offered several advantages: their ability to rotate provided flexibility for the speakers during discussions, and their lightweight structure made them easy to handle compared to the other bulkier foam chair options, which were heavy and resembled oversized single-person couches.

This choice also greatly benefited the production team, as they could effortlessly move and store the chairs, an important consideration with a schedule featuring panels with up to 14 speakers.

Backdrop

I deisgned a backdrop for photos that shows the sponsoring brands and the BC brand.

"Line Up"

In addition to designing the stage I developed a one-page "Line Up" for the Brazil Conference. Inspired by festival line-ups, the schedule provided attendees with a clear overview of what was happening in each auditorium, including the speakers, times, and locations. The design was printed on large boards and placed throughout the venue, allowing attendees to check the schedule during breaks.

Event Producer

In addition to designing stages for the Brazil Conference, I was brought on by the team to assist Operations Manager Ana Barros with event production. Together with Marina Padilha, we coordinated the event, ensuring that everything was in place and running smoothly for the speakers, atendees and volunteers during the event.

One of my key contributions to the event’s success was the suggestion to use radios for real-time communication. From my experience in events, I know that timely communication is essential, and using radios instead of relying on WhatsApp groups allowed the team to stay connected and resolve issues immediately. According to the team, this simple decision was a “life saver” for the event, and I’m glad I could contribute to its success.

I also designed the "HACKBrazil” panel, a hackathon for startups to pitch their innovative ideas and compete for a grand prize of R$100,000.00.

I My role in this project was to design the stage, paycheck and elements to create a brand experience for the attendees.

Through this project, I demonstrated my ability to translate abstract concepts into tangible designs that resonate with audiences and contribute to the success of the event. It was a rewarding experience to be part of HACK BRAZIL, and I am proud to have played a role in creating an engaging and memorable atmosphere for participants and spectators.
