Recife é pra ficar

Client: Tourism Secretary of Recife | BG9 Agency
Summary:
3D models, layout, brand experience
Year: 2022

I was contracted by BG9 Agency to create a stand for S Tourism Fair that will happen in Recife.

Concept:

The agency had developed a concept called "Recife é pra ficar” (Recife is to stay) that invited tourists to spend more days in the city to explore all the cultural highlights the city offers. My role was to bring their brief to life and transform mood boards into a 3-dimensional world that visitors could experience at the Fair.

Architectural Program:

  • Service desk and table for meetings

  • Performance stage for cultural presentations

  • Multiple photo opportunities

  • Storage area for materials used by the staff

  • Campaign branding and signage

  • 360 camera photo shoot location

Interactive space

At the center of the city in Recife there is a park referred to as, “Marco Zero" (Ground Zero) where the city begins. I created a concept to bring this iconic circular area into the middle of the exhibition area. This created a great ambience for people to interact, dance, talk and stay at the location throughout the day, which connected with the campaign concept.

A pathway designed throughout the open plan was reminiscent of a park, and naturally welcomed those who visited to interact with the entertainment options spontaneously.

Recife is often called the Venice of Brazil, because of its many rivers and bridges that connect them. I celebrated this fact with a bridge sculpture at the entrance to the space and added coloured ribbons inspired by the cities famous dances: maracatu and frevo. This became a popular photo moment throughout the event.
