Portinari & Brennand – A Celebration of Brazilian Artistry
The Carvalheira agency created a partnership with the Ricardo Brennand Institute, to produce a unique event featuring the world-renowned visual artist Francisco Brennand and Director of the Candido Portinari Institute.
This is the magical first-time meeting of 2 massive figures in the Brazilian art world. On the right is the sculpture and painter, Francisco Brennan and on the left, Juan Portinari, director of the Portinari Estate and son of the famous artist.
Event
João Portinari presented the painter's life and his works, talking about the acclaimed Portinari Project, an overview of his more than 25 years of research on the artist, and the War and Peace initiative. In total, 120 people attended the event including researchers, academics, press and fans of the artist's work.
Event design & Production
I designed an interactive pannel for the visitors, a backdrop for photos and all the katering, welcoming and
I coordinated a press day where Portinari spoke with a series of journalists about the event, his father and his legacy. I coordinated all creative content capture that was leveraged to market the event.
The guest experience
As the project lead, i created a curated communication plan for all the guests attending the event. This included visualising Portinari's schedule for his entire visit to Recife. Every morning he received a letter with a memory of his father's art and the schedule of the day. Examples of the materials are below.
