Expo Osaka 2025
Competition to design the Brazilian Pavillon at Expo Osaka 2025
Summary: Exhibition design, scenography, customer experience
Year: 2022
I was invited by Selvagen- Generative Design Solutions to participate to the competition to design the Brazilian Pavillon at Expo Osaka and help them to create the exhibitions, experiences and scenography.
Empowering lives
The theme for the expo is "Designing Future Society for Our Lives", with sub-themes of "Saving Lives", "Empowering Lives" and "Connecting Lives".
The Brazilian Pavillon is located at the “Empowering lives”area. So, the Selvagen Team decided to get inspired by the native people of Brazil.
The shape of the pavilion was inspired by the shabonos of the Yanomami peoples that proposed valuing our roots, combining tradition and technology, in an immersive and sustainable space.

People's center
The central element of the pavilion is the large circle which, similar to the Yanomami village, where the rituals and celebrations of the tribes take place and visitors are invited to interact.
By reading a QR code with their cell phone's camera, visitors can view images in Augmented Reality of forest elements that interact with the building in a magical way. The Brazilian fauna and flora will be digitally represented so that the visitor can interact with it in a digital space.
